It was with great pleasure to be a part of Valeria and Sixto’s special day not only professionally, but as a friend. They met New Year’s Eve 2001 at my house. Soon after, a friendship started and over the years their love for each other evolved. Less than a year after Sixto proposed one summer night, they exchanged vows and became husband and wife in one of the most romantic ceremonies their guests have seen. Afterwards, family and friends joined them in their celebration where the food was delectable; we shared stories, laughter and danced the night away. I could hardly believe Sixto and Valeria could dance so much! I have shared many special memories over the years, but this one will be an unforgettable one. Wishing them a lifetime of happiness together.
Personal Flowers: Valeria’s lace gown was complimented by a hand held bouquet of white mini callas accompanied with blue muscari. A single white mini calla, blue muscari and a touch of seeded eucalyptus donned Sixto’s lapel. Bridesmaids carried a white cymbidium nosegay contrasting their red gowns. The groomsmen wore a single white cymbidium matching the bridesmaids’ bouquet.
Ceremony Flowers: Tall cylinders topped with all white flowers consisting of casablanca and calla lilies sat at each side of the altar.
Reception Flowers: The escort cart table was anchored by a tall arrangement sitting on a Garnier vase. The loose arrangement was composed by a mixture of white hydrangeas, vendela roses, eucalyptus, bells of ireland, white dendrobiums and green cymbidium blooms.
The green and ivory theme was carried throughout the rest of the decor. Cocktail tables carried submerged white mini callas with floating candles. Following the cocktail hour, guests proceeded to the ballroom where the amber glow of twinkling lights greeted them setting a romantic mood for this enchanted evening. Two different arrangements were set on every other table complimenting each other. Some Clarinet vases held white hydrangeas, vendela roses and green cymbidium blooms. Others held loose arrangements similar to the Escort Card Table. The bride and groom chose a Royal Table to sit with the wedding party. Two tall centerpieces with loose arrangements sat at each side of the enormous table carrying the same color scheme. Long rectangular arrangements of white hydrangeas, vendela roses, green cymbidium orchids and touches of seeded eucalyptus ran across the table. Votives, floating candles and rose petals added the finishing touch for all the tables.
